Chelsea’s latest hunt for a new manager is underway, and the names of several candidates have already been mentioned. Andoni Iraola’s name has come up early, with Marco Silva also mentioned as a realistic, Premier League experienced candidate.
But One pundit isn’t convinced the Blues even want a new coach, as he explained on Sky Sports News. Charlie Austin questioned whether BlueCo (after churning through five coaches in four years) really want a manager at all.
“As much as they talk about coaching and managers… I’m not sure Chelsea and BlueCo and the hierarchy actually want a manager to come in there. They might say it, but I’m not sure they actually want it,” Austin said, and he’s only partly joking.
“They have five sporting directors, five sporting directors making decisions, and they’re not getting it right at the moment.”
Well, nobody is going to dispute that…
