Chelsea are among the Premier League clubs to have set their sights on RB Leipzig star Yan Diomande according to Sky Germany.
Transfer rumours are starting to heat up with the January window fast approaching, and as usual Chelsea have been linked with numerous players.
The Blues invested heavily in the squad during the summer, and are reportedly going to be quiet this winter, but things can change very quickly.
Chelsea have been linked with Sunderland’s Noah Sadiki and AZ Alkmaar teenager Kees Smit, but it appears another player has emerged on their radar.
Diomande has caught the eye with his performances for RB Leipzig, and Plettenberg has provided an update on his future.

He took to X.com and said:
“Top clubs from England all have Yan #Diomande in their sights: Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham, Manchester City and many more. #LFC
“Contrary to other reports, there are no concrete or advanced talks with any club.
“Contract until 2030 with no release clause. A move after the World Cup is possible. Leipzig are considering a fee of over €100 million. Incredible talent.”
Diomande only joined Leipzig in the summer from Spanish side Leganes, and has scored seven goals and registered four assists in 15 appearances in all competitions.
Diomande can operate on both wings and is a top young talent so you can understand why he would be on Chelsea’s radar.

However, the Blues have Geovany Quenda arriving next summer, and there simply isn’t room in the squad for another wide player.
Quenda is currently out injured, but is regarded as one of the best young talents in Europe, and will go straight into Enzo Maresca’s first team squad and compete for minutes next season with the likes of Estevao and Pedro Neto.
