Chelsea’s squad construction can be criticised in many ways, and among them is the physicality (or lack thereof) in the group.

The London is Blue podcast are as frustrated as the rest of us by Chelsea’s recent collapses. On their episode today they focused on the lack of physicality in the group.
“We got bullied off the park by Arsenal two, three, four times this season. We’ve been bullied by freakin’ Leeds before,” presenter Nick Verlaney said.
“This team is a little soft, and I hope at some point it returns to some sort of physically capable version of Chelsea, because it’s brutal to watch us bounced off the park like this, it really does suck.”
You can see him make his point in the clip embedded here:
Getting beaten up physically by Arsenal is one thing – they’ve been built to be big. But getting dominated by PSG, who are not bruisers but instead ballers, was the real wakeup call. We couldn’t compete with them technically or physically.
It’s a question of desire and intensity as much as size.
Newcastle are apparently interested in not one but TWO Chelsea attackers ahead of a potential summer move. We can see one of them happening.
Moises Caicedo was Chelsea’s best player for a big chunk of this season, but his form has gone off a cliff in recent weeks.
