It’s been a very turmoil week at Chelsea this week, and now some at Chelsea apparently want to sell Enzo Fernandez.

Or not want to sell as such, but the wording goes as ‘it would not be a disaster’ if he is now sold – so basically, they want to sell him. We aren’t stupid.

Fernandez has been speaking all week about how much he loves Madrid as a City, and basically been twerking for a move to Real Madrid this summer off the back of Chelsea’s project failing and him thinking the club is going nowhere. He’s not wrong, right now at least.

But now, the narratives are coming out, and Chelsea owners are trying to counter what has been yet another toxic and turmoil week under their tenure.

Fernandez to be sold?

A report from The Guardian this week states that Chelsea are unimpressed with Fernández and some believe it would not be a disaster if he goes. It would have to be a big fee – and Spanish sources say Madrid are not about to pay £100m – but it is hard to see how Chelsea benefit from keeping someone no longer aligned with their vision.

Liam Rosenior faces a tough press conference later today, with his players’ international break comments adding to the list of difficult questions he’s going to come up against in the Port Vale preview.

Enzo Fernandez’ comments about Chelsea were made possible by the leadership vacuum at the club says former player John Obi Mikel.
