Soungoutou Magassa on verge of West Ham exit

Soungoutou Magassa (22) is set to leave West Ham United before the closure of the transfer window. Spain and Italy are the most likely destinations for the France youth international, Foot Mercato understands.

Following West Ham’s relegation to Ligue 2, Magassa has failed to make an appearance. He is a player that WHU have been keen to offload. And there has been no shortage of interest in the former AS Monaco midfielder. Earlier in the window, there was interest from Germany. However, Spain and Italy are now his most likely destinations.

Foot Mercato understands that both Bologna and Sevilla have submitted bids. Both are paid loan deals that include obligatory purchase options. West Ham are inclined to accept these bids. There had also been interest from Germany in the form of Red Bull Leipzig, whilst Lille OSC could have offered Magassa a return France. Both, however, only made enquiries for the midfielder.
