Sources: Rangers ARE interested in re-signing Ryan Kent

Ibrox Noise sources have told us Rangers and Philippe Clement are interested in signing Ryan Kent for the club again, with frustration growing over the extensive injuries to left-winger Oscar Cortes and indeed forward Danilo.

The attacker, who has returned to Scotland after his extremely ill-fated switch to Turkey, is considering his next move as a free agent, although Kent is well aware his stock has gone down a bit following such a poor time of it in the notorious Super Lig.

The former Liverpool man will not quite have the pick of choices that he maybe once would, but Clement tried to sign him for Brugge and is understood to be a huge admirer of him.

Ryan Kent is very much wanted by Philippe Clement, it’s whether Ryan Kent himself wishes to return to Rangers as a free agent.

He is back in Scotland now, which is fundamentally where he lives, and is weighing up the options he has.

We are not sure exactly how he feels about coming back to Rangers – far too many Ibrox supporters are angrily against this move and that’s going to cause division in itself, but given Rangers fans are divided over which cheese they prefer, cheddar or edam, we’re not sure fan sentiment is something Clement really cares about.

Kent only needs a few good displays to win over the detractors, and as we already said, and will cover more extensively in due course, he only left the club after a falling out with former manager Michael Beale.

But yes, Clement does want him, and having a quality reliable left winger who has lost his passion and wants to prove himself again in the game would be a definite bonus for the boss.

He wanted him in Belgium, lost out to Rangers, and now could sign him for Rangers himself.

Funny old world.
