According to a new report from Defensa Central, Real Madrid have set their sights on Elliot Anderson, the talented midfielder currently shining for Nottingham Forest. 

The outlet mentions that the 23-year-old has caught the attention of Juni Calafat, the club’s renowned head of scouting and one of Florentino Perez’s most trusted figures in player recruitment.

Notably, Anderson has been making waves in the Premier League and has also begun to feature for the England national team. 

His performances have impressed observers at the Santiago Bernabeu, where he is being viewed as a player capable of fitting perfectly into Real Madrid’s future midfield project.

What makes him special?

Those familiar with his game describe Anderson as a technically gifted and dynamic midfielder, possessing traits that draw comparisons closer to Luka Modric rather than Toni Kroos. 

His ability to dictate the tempo, break lines, and contribute creatively has led to a series of glowing scouting reports reaching Madrid’s management.

However, the biggest obstacle for Los Blancos lies in the financial aspect of any potential deal.

Anderson’s current market value is estimated at €45 million, but with a contract running until 2029, Nottingham Forest are under no pressure to sell. 

As such, Premier League giants are already queuing up for his signature, with some reportedly ready to offer figures approaching €100 million, a sum that Florentino Perez is unwilling to match.

Sources close to the situation reveal that Manchester United are also keeping a close eye on the midfielder and may even be ahead in the race. 

Anderson’s consistent form since leaving Newcastle United has elevated him into one of the most talked-about young midfielders in England.

Now a crucial part of Thomas Tuchel’s long-term plans for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Anderson’s profile continues to rise rapidly. 

For Real Madrid, his development is being closely monitored, but a move would only be realistic if the financial conditions become favourable.
