Sources from The Athletic are saying that one Chelsea player has improved under Enzo Maresca and is a perfect fit for the system.

Maresca has a certain style of play that he has implemented at Chelsea in a possession-based football setup, and apparently Enzo Fernandez is seen as a perfect fit for the system.

That is according to a report from The Athletic this morning, that goes into some detail on the improvements that inside sources have seen with Fernandez whilst under the management of head coach Maresca.

I think Fernandez has certainly improved a lot so far this season, he’s stepped up from the previous seasons he has so far been at Chelsea, and he has very much grown into his role.

A lot of that is down the Maresca, per the report.
