Since joining Crystal Palace in January 2024, Daniel Munoz has grown into one of the most consistent and reliable right-backs in the Premier League.

So much so that the Colombian defender, who is a regular for his national team as well, has attracted interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs, including PSG and Barcelona.

Munoz names Real Madrid among his dream clubs

Currently away with the Colombian national team for their upcoming friendly matches against New Zealand and Australia, Munoz was asked about the interest he was attracting from the top teams across Europe.

In response, Munoz admitted that it would be a dream come true for him to play for clubs like Barcelona, Real Madrid, or Manchester United.

“First of all, I think there’s a lot of talk about one club or another. If you ask me, it would be a dream come true to play for one of these clubs, whether it’s Barcelona, PSG, Real Madrid, or Manchester United,” said Munoz in an interview with AS Colombia.

“I think I’m working towards that; I strive every day to one day attract the attention of one of these clubs, because it’s a dream of mine to get there,” he added.

At the same time, the South American defender insisted that he was focused on his situation at Crystal Palace for now and not thinking about transfers.

“Right now I’m focused on my club, on doing things well at Crystal Palace. If you ask me, I don’t have any concrete information that any of these clubs are interested in me,” said Munoz.

“My focus is on Crystal Palace; we’ll see when the winter transfer window gets closer. Right now, I’m fully focused on these two matches with the national team,” he added.

While Munoz might view Real Madrid as one of his dream destinations, there is nothing to suggest that the Merengues are interested in the 29-year-old at the moment.

Real Madrid signed Trent Alexander-Arnold to reinforce their right-back position last summer, with Dani Carvajal already at the club.
