Southampton confirm Shea Charles move as Fulham seal five-year deal | OneFootball

Shea Charles has completed his transfer from Southampton to Premier League Fulham, signing a five-year contract in west London with an option of a further year.

The deal is understood to be worth £30 million, comprising £26 million plus £4 million in add-ons. A significant sell-on clause is believed to be 20 per cent.

Charles had been heavily linked with a move all summer, with Fulham and Leeds United competing for his signature.

“I’m buzzing to finally get it over the line. The club has got a really good foundation, from the bottom to the top really,” he told Fulham TV.

“To be here is a massive privilege. I hope to really kickstart my Premier League career. At such a good club as well, it’s perfect for me, and hopefully perfect for the fans as well.”

The 22-year-old joined Southampton from Manchester City in 2023 for £15 million.
