Harwood-Bellis made 41 Championship appearances last season and featured in both legs of Southampton’s play-off semi-final against Boro.

He is joined in defence by Coventry's Carl Rushworth and Milan van Ewijk, Bobby Thomas of Coventry and Millwall’s Tristan Crama.

Middlesbrough midfielder Hayden Hackney also made the XI and collected the Players’ Player of the Year after impressing his peers.

He is alongside Coventry's Matt Grimes and Jack Rudoni in midfield, with Swansea’s Žan Vipotnik, Coventry’s Haji Wright and Millwall’s Femi Azeez leading the attack.

Harwood-Bellis has been omitted from the last two match squads by head coach Tonda Eckert, amid rejected transfer bids from Benfica and Aston Villa.
