For weeks, Lamine Yamal has been at the center of heated debate, regularly facing criticism about his private affairs. Speaking on El Hormiguero in recent hours, Spain boss Luis de la Fuente stepped up to defend the young prodigy.

"He's a good kid; the reputation he's been given doesn't reflect the quality of character he shows. Besides his extraordinary talent, he trains, plays, handles pressure... and never loses his composure. Some people can't cope with that kind of pressure, but Lamine can. That's really important. We need to highlight this attitude. He's a very humble footballer and always willing to listen," explained the Spanish coach.
