Spain maintain perfect start with win over Czech Republic | OneFootball

Spain maintained their perfect start to the Nations League with a 3-1 victory over the Czech Republic in Oviedo, extending their unbeaten run to 41 matches inside 90 minutes.

Lamine Yamal opened the scoring after six minutes, cutting inside before curling a superb effort into the far corner from the edge of the box.

Spain doubled their advantage in the 35th minute. Rodri reacted quickest to a loose ball inside the area, sweeping his finish into the top corner.

The Czech Republic improved after the break and pulled one back when Jiri Slama met Adam Hlozek’s pass in the box and fired into the bottom corner.

The visitors thought they had equalised, but Ryan Naderi’s finish was ruled out for a foul in the build-up. Their task became harder when Ladislav Krejci was sent off for a second yellow card.

Spain took advantage, with Mikel Merino scoring to seal three points.
