After beating France to reach the final, Spain are 90 minutes from a second star and a sizeable payday at the World Cup.

El Partidazo de Cope reports that each player would receive 750,000 euros gross if they lift the trophy, one of the largest bonuses in international football and higher than after South Africa 2010.

The bonuses would be funded by FIFA prize money, not directly from federation coffers. FIFA would pay 44 million euros to the RFEF for winning, part of which would cover the agreed bonuses.

The remainder would go towards competition-related commitments, organisational costs and federation management. The 750,000 euros are before tax.

If Spain finish as runners-up, FIFA would pay the RFEF 29 million euros. In that case each player would receive 450,000 euros gross.

The swing between victory and defeat in the final would therefore be 300,000 euros per player, alongside the sporting prestige of lifting the most coveted trophy in world football.
