After celebrating Sergio Busquets a few weeks ago, Sergio Ramos has now paid the same tribute to Jordi Alba. The former Barça star has officially announced the date of his professional retirement.

On Tuesday, October 7, Jordi Alba announced in a video on his Instagram that he will retire at the end of the current MLS season. Since then, the tributes have been pouring in. Lionel Messi and FC Barcelona stars have sent messages to the former Blaugrana full-back.

A Real Madrid legend and Alba's former teammate with the national team, Sergio Ramos posted a message to the Inter Miami player on his X account. "My dear Jordi, so many adventures, battles, and shared moments! So many successes and triumphs we've enjoyed together with our national team! You're leaving as a legendary left-back and a great of Spanish football. Football will miss you, but it will always remember you. Big hugs, Tete, and I can't wait for you to enjoy the next chapter with your family. All the best, my brother." he wrote.
