A solid 2-0 win over France in the semi-finals highlighted their dominance, and notably, La Roja have not fallen behind at any stage during this World Cup. Their defensive strength has been particularly impressive, conceding just one goal across seven matches.

Spain team news

In terms of team news, Spain arrives at the final with almost no injury concerns, which is a major boost at this stage of the competition.

Lamine Yamal caused a brief concern after being seen training separately with strapping on his left thigh following a tough semi-final against France.

However, head coach Luis de la Fuente clarified that this was only a precautionary measure to manage his workload, and the winger is expected to be fully fit to start the final.

Pedro Porro is also available after recovering from minor hamstring fatigue that limited his involvement earlier in the week.

With no suspensions to deal with, Spain are expected to stick with their usual tactical setup.

Rodri and Fabián Ruiz will likely control the midfield, offering both defensive cover and control of possession.

Alex Baena is expected to start over Nico Williams while striker Mikel Oyarzabal is set to lead the line.
