Saturday’s friendly internationals featured an amazing 7-0 scoreline for Spain over Australia, in a game that was goalless until close to half-time.
Aitana Bonmati broke the deadlock on 44 minutes, against a Matildas side missing a number of regulars. Mariona Caldentey and Esther Gonzalez scored early in the second half, Lucia Garcia then bagged a brace, likewise Irene Guerrero in the dying minutes.
France scored twice in each half to defeat Cameroon 4-0, Melvine Malard and Griedge Mbock-Bathy both on target after the half-hour mark. Ouleymata Sarr added a double but Les Bleues had Hawa Cissoko sent off deep into stoppage time.
Norway lead New Zealand through Ada Hegerberg’s 34th-minute effort, a lead that was eventually doubled in added-time by Guro Bergsvand.

Portugal edged Greece with the only goal of the game just after the hour mark, as Carole Costa converted from the penalty spot.
While several nations were warming up for the Euros, USA were preparing for the CONCACAF Championship with a 3-0 victory over Colombia, despite missing two penalties. Lindsey Horan failed from 12 yards on half time, Rose Lavelle was also unsuccessful on 70 minutes as Catalina Perez saved again. But Lavelle claimed assists as Sophie Smith struck twice in-between the spot-kicks and Taylor Kornieck added a late third.
