Luciano Spalletti has been fortunate to manage some of the finest attackers in Serie A. One of them is Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who helped him guide Napoli to the Scudetto in 2023.
During his time as the manager of AS Roma, Spalletti also coached Mohamed Salah and Francesco Totti. He is therefore accustomed to working with some of the biggest names in football.
This is one reason Juventus believes he is the right man for the club. Spalletti has managed several of the biggest teams in Italian football and understands how to work with elite players.
At Juventus, the biggest star in his squad is Kenan Yildiz. The Turkish forward is working hard to help the club return to the period when it regularly won major trophies.
Juventus will give the current team time because everyone understands that the squad remains a work in progress. Yildiz will have an important role to play if the Bianconeri are to achieve success.
The Turkish star is already a fine player, and Spalletti has compared him with one of the outstanding attackers he coached at Napoli. Speaking via Football Italia, the Juventus manager said:
“For me, he is comparable to Kvaratskhelia. He needs to play a bit more, but I see similarities in the unpredictability, the way he stays outside of the rules and timing you expect in football. He’s a lovely guy, the boy next door type, but also a leader, one that doesn’t need to talk much.”

Spalletti believes Yildiz’s unpredictability can make him difficult for opponents to contain. The forward does not always follow the patterns defenders expect, and that creativity could become one of Juventus’s greatest strengths.
His leadership is also important to the club. Yildiz does not need to speak constantly to influence his teammates, as his performances and personality can encourage the players around him.
Juventus hopes Spalletti’s experience with elite attackers will help Yildiz continue developing. If the youngster fulfils his potential, he could become central to the club’s efforts to challenge for major honours again.
