Spanish press hail Benfica prospect Anísio Cabral before Real Madrid tie | OneFootball

Spanish daily Marca has highlighted Anísio Cabral’s goal instinct ahead of Benfica’s Champions League meeting with Real Madrid. The report compares the 17-year-old to Didier Drogba, describing a 2.0 version and suggesting he may even possess superior technique despite standing close to 1.90m. It also notes he needed only three shots in under 20 minutes to register his first goals for Benfica and says he could yet trouble Madrid.

Cabral has hit form, opening his account against Estrela da Amadora in a 4-0 win, then scoring again with his first touch, a header, in the 2-1 victory over Alverca.

Before playing Real Madrid, Benfica visit Santa Clara on Friday 13 February.

The Liga Portugal Betclic fixture, matchday 22, kicks off at 18:30 at Estádio de São Miguel.

Cabral is viewed as one of Benfica’s brightest prospects.
