Young Barca star described as “isolated and invisible” in Stamford Bridge outing

The Spanish media have delivered a withering assessment of Barcelona during Tuesday evening's 3-0 loss at Chelsea, with Lamine Yamal and Marcus Rashford not escaping criticism.

The Blues roared out of the blocks and found themselves one goal and one man to the good at half-time, after Jules Kounde put into his own net and captain Ronaldo Araujo was shown two yellow card. Catalan outlet L'Esportiu described the sending-off as "unforgivable".

Estevao doubled Chelsea's lead with a stunning solo effort, before Liam Delap rounded off a commanding victory with his first goal since the Club World Cup.

The game had been dubbed a clash between Yamal and Estevao, but there was one clear winner as the "superstar" Brazilian earned all the plaudits.

Spanish publication Sport, meanwhile, graded Yamal a four out of 10 after "fading along with the rest of the team far too quickly", adding: “Isolated and invisible for long stretches. It wasn't his day (or almost anyone's)."

Sport/Mundo Deportivo

Sport simply declared "not like this, Barca" with the team described as "unrecognisable".

Rashford endured a difficult return to England, coming off the bench at half-time for Ferran Torres but failed to make an impact.

Sport report that Rashford "couldn't act as an agitator," adding that "he was neither seen nor sacrificed in defence." Marca gave him a five out of 10 and Mundo Deportivo simply report that Rashford "couldn't swim against the tide."
