Spanish Super Cup to be staged in Istanbul in 2027 as clubs agree €45m split | OneFootball

According to AS, Real Federación Española de Fútbol president Rafael Louzán will be in Istanbul on Thursday 17 September for the presentation and signing of the next Spanish Super Cup, scheduled for the first week of February 2027.

The ceremony is set for 14:00 at the Turkish Football Federation’s Hasan Dogan facilities and will be attended by Osman Askin Bak and Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, ministers of Sport and of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye, respectively.

The signing will also include H.E. Turki Alalshikh, president of the General Entertainment Authority of Saudi Arabia, and Necmeddin Bilal Erdogan, president of the World Ethnosport Confederation, with Turkish Football Federation president Ibrahim Ethem Haciosmanoglu hosting.

Istanbul was selected after an evaluation carried out with SELA, which has worked with the RFEF on the tournament since the Supercopa de España began being staged in Saudi Arabia.

The 2027 edition will feature Barcelona, Real Madrid, Real Sociedad and Atlético de Madrid, who will contest the first trophy of the Spanish season. The four clubs have agreed a distribution of 45 million euros.
