After letting 24 players leave this summer, Stade Rennais could add one more to that list, with Le Parisien reporting that Spartak Moscow are in negotiations with the Ligue 1 side to sign Christopher Wooh (23).
The defender who joined Rennes in 2022 from RC Lens on a €10m deal has entered the final year of his contract, and is reportedly considering Spartak’s proposition, with a response expected imminently.
Wooh played 21 times for Rennes across all competitions last season, but found gametime more limited under midseason appointment Habib Beye. The manager picked him to start in his first six games, but after a two-game suspension, Wooh was left on the sidelines, making two further bit part appearances from the bench.
The former Lens man has appeared twice this season, as a substitute in the Rennes opening day victory over Olympique de Marseille, and then as a starter in the 4-0 defeat to FC Lorient, where he was sent off in the 11th minute.
