Sporting sent a representative to Estádio do Dragão to watch FC Porto against Gil Vicente, ahead of their own visit to the same venue on nine February.
According to O Jogo, the Lisbon club deployed an emissary to take live notes on Francesco Farioli's team.

From abroad, there were Real Sociedad, Levante, Betis, Brentford, Lille, Cagliari and Bologna.
The FC Porto v Sporting fixture is scheduled for matchday 21.
