Sporting v Tondela remains conditionally pencilled in for 29 April after a tense scheduling meeting.

According to O Jogo, the Permanent Calendar Commission met on Friday morning and tempers flared when Sporting tabled an unexpected proposal that failed to win backing from other clubs.

Sporting then proposed 6 May, placing the game between hosting Vitória de Guimarães and visiting Rio Ave, the 32nd and 33rd matchdays respectively.

The club cited accumulated fatigue as the reason to delay rather than play in the week of 29 April, which could be free if they are eliminated by Arsenal in the Champions League.

Rivals rejected the plan, with Porto and Benfica aligned in opposition, and Porto the most indignant during the meeting. The fixture remains conditional.
