Tottenham Hotspur manager Roberto De Zerbi is reportedly convinced that Savinho will explode under him.

They have agreed an £85 million deal with Manchester City for the Brazilian attacker. Spurs are set to pay £75m up front for Savinho, plus £10m in potential bonuses.

The 22-year-old has undergone a medical today ahead of signing a five-year deal with the option of a further year.

Tottenham fans are sceptical about the potential signing, but De Zerbi believes he can get him firing on all cylinders.

Savinho has bagged just two Premier League goals and 12 assists in 53 appearances for Man City across the last two seasons.

He has tallied five goals and four assists in 31 other appearances and the Lilywhites have taken a huge risk signing him.

However, the club trusts De Zerbi’s judgment and have opted to splash the cash on him despite his underwhelming performances over the last 24 months.

The Tottenham boss is also convinced about Omar Marmoush, with the club set to sign both players from Man City in the coming days.

Tottenham have strengthened in defence and midfield this summer and have now shifted their attention to attack.

Liverpool’s Cody Gakpo is also on Spurs’ radar. Adding him to an attack featuring the Man City duo would be a huge statement of intent.
