Spurs confirm Vuskovic exit – with more departures set to follow | OneFootball

Tottenham have confirmed the departure of defender Luka Vuskovic, who has joined Brighton & Hove Albion in a permanent deal.

The 19-year-old departs for a fee of around £50 million, a club record for Brighton, and has signed a five-year deal with the option of a further year.

Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler said: “Luka has enjoyed a fantastic start to his career – it’s one we’ve followed closely.

“Last season he demonstrated he can play at a very high level and we want to help him build on that within our environment.

“There’s been a lot of external noise about Luka joining us, but he is still a young guy who will need time to adjust to the demands of playing for Brighton and the Premier League. We are confident that he will take this in his stride though.”

More Spurs players are expected to follow Vuskovic in leaving the club this summer.

Richarlison will be allowed to leave Tottenham, with only a year left on his current contract.

Goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario could also depart, while midfielder Lucas Bergvall is keen on a move away from Spurs. Striker Will Lankshear is attracting interest from Sporting CP, among others, too.
