WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official media update from the North Londoners this morning.
The 27-year-old suffered the injury whilst representing Australia at the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Australia 2026. Hunt helped her nation to pick up runners-up medals. The CommBank Matildas were eventually beaten 1-0 by Japan in the final. Hunt did not feature in the final and watched the game from the bench.
Hunt’s injury has now been fully-assessed and it has been determined that she requires surgery on her right knee. Spurs have not confirmed details of how long the player may be sidelined for, however, it is almost certain that she will not return this season.
Hunt’s absence is a real blow for Spurs who are set to contest some huge games in the coming weeks. The Lilywhites contest a North London derby with Arsenal next weekend before taking on Chelsea in an Adobe Women’s FA Cup quarter-final. Spurs also have a huge home game against Manchester United after the April international break.
Spurs currently occupy fifth place in the Barclays Women’s Super League table after 18 matches.
