Tottenham Hotspur are looking to sell midfielder Yves Bissouma in January but could trigger the player's extension if no sale is made.

The midfielder has not featured at all for his club this season after disciplinary issues – including lateness and videos supposing to show him inhaling nitrous oxide – have seen him exiled from the squad.

An ankle injury certainly hasn't helped things this year with Bissouma's only game in the 2025/26 season coming for the Mali national team where he came on as a substitute for six minutes against Madagascar before being forced off.

According to journalist Tom Allnutt of The Times, Spurs will try to move the 29-year-old on in the winter transfer window with the player's contract expiring at the end of the current campaign.

However, should Bissouma not find a new club then Tottenham may extend the player's contract to avoid losing him on a free.

Bissouma first joined Spurs from Brighton & Hove Albion for £30 million in 2022 and the player has since gone on to feature in 100 games for the club.
