Ange Postecoglou has provided a positive Spurs injury update with central defensive duo Cristian Romero and Micky Van de Ven closing in on returns.
Romero has been out since December, having suffered an injury blow on his return to action against Chelsea.
Van de Ven, meanwhile, was injured in the same game but returned to play Elfsborg in the Europa League last month.
He has not played again since, with Postecoglou revealing Spurs are working with Van de Ven to ensure he can stay fit in future.
But both are eyeing a return next month for Tottenham’s Europa League clash with AZ Alkmaar on 6 March.
Fellow defender Destiny Udogie returned to the bench in the 1-0 win over Man Utd after his hamstring injury and Postecoglou says he will receive minutes over the next couple of games.
“No new concerns from last week, everyone has got through the week okay,” Postecoglou said. “The other guys are ticking along well.
“We’ve got two games in quick succession in the league and this is a good opportunity to give match minutes to guys who have been out for a while.
“We saw Brennan Johnson, Wilson Odobert and Guglielmo Vicario come back last week. James Maddison as well. Destiny Udogie, we need to give him some match minutes.
“We’ve got a week until the next European game and that’s about the time we’re hoping guys like Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven in particular should be in and around that mark [to return]. Richarlison and Dominic Solanke are not too far behind.”
Tottenham take on Ipswich Town on Saturday looking for back-to-back wins after the victory over Man Utd.
Postecoglou’s side sit 12th in the Premier League ahead of the game and the Spurs boss has backed his side to climb the league table between now and the end of the campaign.
“There are 13 games to go and we’re not happy with where we are in the league. Our form has been very inconsistent.”
