This coming weekend, as always, there are plenty of games for a number of Tottenham Hotspur loanees, across various competition. Let’s dip our toes into how the next few days shape up.
In the FA Cup, it is a big day for Josh Keeley, Jamie Donley, and their Leyton Orient side, as they welcome the four time Premier League defending champions, Manchester City, to Brisbane Road.
Regardless of the result, it will be a great experience for both players to play against a team like City – even in their current state. Kick off is 12:15 GMT on Saturday, and is live on BBC One and iPlayer for those in the UK – if you would like to watch Richie Wellens' side.
Elsewhere in the fourth round, Ashley Phillips and his Stoke City side host Championship side Cardiff City. Given the precarious situation the Potters find themselves in, Phillips may be rested for this. Manager Mark Robins got Coventry City to the semi-finals last year, being a toenail away from the final. Kick off 15:00 GMT on Saturday.
Back to the football league, Matthew Craig’s Mansfield Town side host Northampton tonight, at 19:45 GMT. We will have to see if the Spurs loanee is named in the match day squad, having missed out on the last couple of games.
Then, into League Two, George Abbott and his Notts County side will host Morecambe on Saturday afternoon. With Doncaster Rovers in FA Cup action, Notts have a chance to leapfrog them into second place in the league, whilst also still having a game in hand. 15:00 GMT kick off here.
Into Non League, Luca Gunter and his Wealdstone side host Gateshead in the National League. The Stones can pull themselves out of the relegation zone with a win. Another 15:00 GMT kick off.
North of the border, Alfie Dorrington and Aberdeen will host second tier side Dunfermline in the last 16 of the Scottish Cup. That game is on Sunday, and kicks off at 12:30 GMT.
Into Europe – where Bryan Gil and his Girona side will face Athletic Club on the road, on Saturday, for a 15:15 GMT kick off. Elsewhere, Alejo Veliz and his RCD Espanyol side will be looking to build on their heroic victory over Real Madrid last time out, when they also travel to the Basque country, to face Real Sociedad, on Sunday, at 17:30 GMT.
Finally, in Belgium – Luka Vuskovic, Alfie Devine, and their KVC Westerlo side will host Standard Liege in the Belgian Pro League, on Sunday, at 17:30 GMT. That game kicks off five minutes before Spurs do at Aston Villa, such is the unconventional time of that cup tie.
