Spurs looking to bring João Palhinha back to the Premier League

João Palhinha could return to the Premier League after one season with Bayern Munich amid interest from Tottenham Hotspur.

The defensive midfielder joined Bayern last summer following a €51 million transfer but hasn't shown the same impressive form with the German giants as he did previously with Fulham.

Palhinha featured17 times in the Bundesliga last season with just six of those appearances from the start as Vincent Kompany's team went on to win the league.

According to The Telegraph, Spurs are currently working on a deal to sign the 30-year-old who previously excelled in England with his combative play style.

Thomas Frank may have to wait to complete the signing though with midfield exits needed before the club can wrap up a deal for the Portuguese midfielder.
