Earlier this week, it was revealed that Nico Paz is one of the players Tottenham are targeting as they desperately look to sign a new attacker after missing out on Eberechi Eze.

With just a week remaining before the transfer window slams to a shut, Spurs are determined to bring in at least one new attacker.

Paz has emerged as one of the potential targets, which is interesting from Real Madrid’s perspective.

Although Paz is no longer a Real Madrid player, Los Blancos have a buyback clause worth less than €10 million and valid for this year as well as the next two years.

But in a major development, it appears Spurs have tabled a €50 million bid for Nico Paz this summer.

This is according to Gianluca Di Marzio, which suggests that the Lilywhites are serious about signing the young Argentine, although the club have yet to reach any agreement with the club or the player.

This comes on the back of an earlier attempt by Spurs, which was downrightly rejected by Como.

It must be noted that the transfer cannot go through without Real Madrid’s permission as the Spanish giants can easily sign the youngster back for less than €10 million this summer.

Real Madrid can then opt to sell him to Spurs for a quick profit, although it remains to be seen whether or not the club are in favour of permanently selling a star prodigy like Paz.

Real Madrid, after all, have fallen behind Barcelona when it comes to youth development, with very few players being able to make an impact in the first-team.

Nico Paz is one of those players who has shown he is capable of performing at the highest level. And therefore, if the player can continue his progress in Serie A, he could be a real option for Xabi Alonso next season.
