Tottenham have a long history of producing top talent, and some of their graduates have gone on to play football at the highest level.

Harry Kane, Sol Campbell and Glenn Hoddle are among those players, while Will Lankshear is another one thriving in the Championship with serious potential.

Kane had to ply his trade elsewhere before earning his chance with the North Londoners, and made five appearances for Norwich City while they were in the Premier League.

Years later, the Canaries acquired another Spurs talent for £8million and despite paying a significant figure to land his services, he is now without a club at 33.

Inside Alex Pritchard's £8m move from Tottenham to Norwich City

In 2016, Norwich signed Spurs prospect Alex Pritchard for £8m, with the midfielder highly regarded after an impressive loan spell at Brentford, where he earned a place in the 2014/15 Championship Team of the Season.

An England under-21 international, the attacking midfielder had tremendous technical ability in behind, with his 12 goals and seven assists with the Bees highlighting his threat.

Having come through the Lilywhites academy, Pritchard spent a short time on loan with Premier League outfit West Brom before arriving at Carrow Road, where he was primed to make more impact in the second tier.

The midfielder made 35 appearances in all competitions for the Norfolk club during his debut season, racking up an impressive seven goals and 12 assists as the Canaries finished eighth.

However, just 18 months after joining Norwich, Pritchard departed Carrow Road for a reported £10m to join Premier League side Huddersfield Town.

Huddersfield remarkably maintained their Premier League status on their first attempt but were relegated the following season, with Pritchard heading back to the second tier with the Terriers.

However, a recurrence of an ankle injury suffered early on in his career stunted his progress, and the midfielder was in and out of the Huddersfield team before dropping down to League One in 2021.

A move to Sunderland was exactly what the Englishman needed as he notched four goals and 12 assists as the Black Cats finally returned to the Championship by defeating Wycombe Wanderers in the play-off final.

Pritchard returned to form in the second tier in a strong Tony Mowbray side that shocked everyone by reaching the play-offs, only to lose to Luton Town, with the midfielder pulling the strings alongside Amad Diallo, Patrick Roberts and Jack Clarke.

As the Wearsiders evolved, the former Norwich man departed for Birmingham City to link up with Mowbray again, but the campaign ended in calamitous circumstances as they were relegated to League One and the player's reputation was hampered.

With that, the attacking midfielder made a surprise switch to Turkish outfit Sivasspor, where he spent 18 months before leaving as a free agent in December 2025.

Since leaving Sivasspor on Christmas Eve of last year, Pritchard has remained a free agent and has been unable to secure a new contract in professional football.

There have been no fresh reports linking the 33-year-old with a move, and the 25 appearances he made in Turkey remain his last mark on the game.
