St Etienne hero Perrin: Marseille must try to buy Arsenal defender Saliba

St Etienne hero Loic Perrin says Olympique Marseille should seek to sign permanently Arsenal defender William Saliba.

Saliba, formerly of ASSE, joined Marseille on a straight loan this season and has quickly impressed.

Perrin said: "I don't understand how they couldn't try it at least once.

"When you observe him since his beginnings in Saint-Etienne… He is phlegmatic, cold, lucid. In one-on-one games, he has extraordinary support and always comes out on top. Besides, he's a great kid in a band.

"In Nice, after long months without playing, he was good immediately while Nice was in a bad patch. And in Marseille, in a crazy atmosphere, the same thing.

"He could be bought from Arsenal."
