St. Louis CITY acquire Charles-Emile Brunet from Nashville SC | OneFootball

TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Loan

St. Louis CITY SC have acquired midfielder Charles-Emile Brunet on loan from Nashville SC, the clubs announced Wednesday.

The 22-year-old Canadian's loan is for the remainder of the 2026 season and includes a purchase option. As part of the deal, Nashville receive $50,000 in General Allocation Money (GAM).

Brunet signed his first professional contract ahead of the 2026 campaign. He's made seven appearances for Nashville this season, in addition to six appearances for MLS NEXT Pro affiliate Huntsville City SC.

“Adding Charles gives us some depth in the midfield as we head into the final stretch of the season,” said sporting director Corey Wray. “He’s a technical, young player who can contribute on both sides of the ball and provide some versatility to our group. We’re excited to bring him in and see how he can contribute.” 

The CF Montréal Academy product is St. Louis CITY's second summer signing following Designated Player midfielder Carlo Holse.

St. Louis are sixth in the Western Conference (34 points) and are enjoying a 12-game unbeaten streak in league play under first-year head coach Yoann Damet. Nashville, meanwhile, lead the Supporters' Shield standings with 52 points.
