Stade Rennais is on the verge of securing the arrival of Magueye Niang, a promising 17-year-old Senegalese forward currently playing for Guelwaars FC. The player will only be able to join the club once he reaches the age of majority, but Rennes has already started the process, according to Le Parisien.

The Breton club keeps a close watch on the African market and has signed a partnership with Guelwaars FC to scout young prospects. The recruitment team has been monitoring Niang for several weeks to prepare for his transfer.

Even though other clubs, such as Chelsea, have shown interest in him, Rennes is in a strong position to welcome him in 2027. This move is a clear investment in the club's future.
