Brazilian star pushing for top wage, but club insists on strict salary structure
Stalemate at Bernabeu: Vinicius Jr’s Contract Saga Takes New Twist
The future of Vinicius Junior at Real Madrid's come under renewed doubt with contract extension talks facing obstacles over financial terms.
Reports from Spain suggest discussions between Real Madrid & their Brazilian forward have slowed due to the player’s salary requests which the club views as exceeding its strict financial policy.
According to Sport, president Florentino Perez isn't opposed to making Vinicius the club’s highest paid player.
However this would only happen if the wage increase doesn't break Madrid’s internal salary cap.
The 24 year old attacker's reportedly pressing the club by highlighting his importance to the team making negotiations increasingly complex.
Real Madrid remain firm on protecting wage balance to avoid destabilizing finances especially under La liga & Spanish FA regulations.
