After suffering a heavy collision with Bilal Bafdili during the match against Mechelen (1-1) on September 12, Josué Homawoo had everyone at the stadium and watching on TV holding their breath.

Fortunately for him, he came out of it with minimal damage. After being taken to the hospital, he was given a few days off before returning to work.

Indeed, Standard de Liège published photos of the Togolese international (3 caps) back in training on their official X account, along with an update on his condition.

"The Togolese defender underwent additional neurological examinations at the end of last week and the beginning of this week, which were very reassuring. Josué is doing well and was already able to return to training this Tuesday. Our club and the player thank the supporters for their many messages of support and encouragement," the Belgian club announced in a statement.

In the end, the 27-year-old defender missed only one match—the team's away win over KVC Westerlo (0-2).
