Ayase Ueda headed in from close range in the 19th minute to give Feyenoord the lead in a 3-3 draw at NAC Breda. He then glanced another header after the restart to level the tie.
He set the tone early, rising inside the six-yard box to convert Anis Hadj Moussa's cross following a corner (19.). The finish was instinctive and from point-blank range.
After the restart, Ueda timed his run to meet Jordan Bos's delivery and guided a header into the top left (52.). The movement separated him from his marker and restored momentum.
He finished with two goals from three attempts, including two on target, and six touches in the box. He also missed a presentable chance from the left of the six-yard area (71.), underlining how often he threatened between the posts.
With sustained width from Bos and Hadj Moussa supplying quality balls, Ueda's penalty-area positioning repeatedly asked questions of NAC Breda's defence. Feyenoord's crossing accuracy at 41.7% backed up how effective that route was.
Feyenoord remain second in the Eredivisie and host Excelsior next. NAC Breda, 17th, visit Go Ahead Eagles next.
How high would you rate Ueda's performance tonight?
