Finn Azaz opened the scoring in the ninth minute with a left-footed finish, setting Southampton on their way to a 3-1 win over Swansea City.

The attacking midfielder ghosted into the centre of the box to steer low into the bottom corner, a clean strike that settled the game's rhythm in the hosts' favour.

He threatened again when a left-footed effort from the centre was blocked (18.). From there, the Saints' creator kept dropping into pockets to link moves and draw Swansea City's midfield out.

Azaz's influence showed in the numbers: four attempts, one chance created and a team-high 12 successful passes in the final third, repeatedly moving play into dangerous areas. He also completed two dribbles and won a tackle, blending craft with bite.

His positioning between midfield and attack kept the Saints progressing attacks, as he received on the half-turn and fed runners to sustain pressure across both halves.

Saints host Bristol City next in the Championship, while Swansea City welcome Burnley.
