Gabriel bent a right-footed strike from outside the box in the 39th minute to double the lead, as RB Bragantino beat Flamengo 3-0. The midfielder's control defined a statement night.
Collecting Henry Mosquera's pass after a corner, Gabriel drove a low effort into the bottom left to punish a half-clearance. The goal crowned an assertive first half from the Brazilian.
After the restart, Erick Pulgar's dismissal (50.) left Fla with ten and the game tilted further towards Braga. Gabriel dictated rhythm, switching play and repeatedly finding advanced pockets to keep the visitors penned in.
He finished with two attempts, one goal, and completed 51 of 54 passes, including 10 in the final third. His work out of possession told too, with two tackles won, five recoveries, two clearances and an interception, plus a late effort blocked (88.).
With Mengão's midfield stretched, Gabriel's positioning between the lines gave Massa Bruta a constant outlet and ensured they controlled the key phases without letting the tempo drop.
Braga climb from 16th to 11th in the table and visit Mirassol next. Fla remain sixth and host Santos next.
