Diego Moreira set the tone in the 12th minute with a crisp finish, guiding Strasbourg to a 2-1 win over Metz.
Linking play from the right channel, Moreira timed his run to meet Julio Enciso's pass and guided the chance beyond Jonathan Fischer. The winger then kept asking questions with direct running and early shots.
He repeatedly forced Metz back with three successful dribbles and four attempts, all from range, while drawing four fouls as Le Racing advanced the game in the final third.
Moreira's work rate matched the flair. He won possession eight times and completed 17 successful final third passes, a blend that underlined how he both carried attacks and sustained pressure for Le Racing.
Because he combined cleanly with nearby support and attacked the spaces Metz left between full back and centre back, his movement opened passing lanes and crossing angles, keeping the visitors off balance.
Le Racing rise from eighth to seventh in Ligue 1 and visit Lille next. Metz remain 18th and host Lyon next.
