Jack Clarke won a penalty in the 81st minute and then converted it, giving Ipswich Town a 2-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday. He is now on 13 league goals, third in the Championship chart.

Clarke's burst into the box drew the foul, and his calm strike from the spot found the top right corner (83.). It was the decisive act his side had been probing for.

From there the Tractor Boys managed the late phases, with Clarke carrying them up the pitch and drawing contact to relieve pressure as The Owls struggled to regain territory.

He finished with two shots on target, six touches in the box and 15 successful final third passes. He also won the ball six times, underlining his work without possession as well as his end product.

The Tractor Boys rise from fourth to third and host Millwall next. The Owls visit Hull next.
