Mohamed Touré struck in the first minute to set Norwich City on their way to a 3-0 win at Oxford United, then completed a ruthless hat-trick that decided the Championship contest.
The forward pounced from the centre of the box off a quick release, steering into the middle of the net (1.). Oxford United were rocked and space opened for his repeated runs across their back line.
He doubled the lead from close range after a left-sided delivery by Benjamin Chrisene (19.). After the restart, he completed it with a composed finish into the centre from the right side of the area (47.).
Touré finished with three attempts, all on target, plus six touches in the box and two successful dribbles. A clean, ruthless display that kept the Canaries in charge. With 60.3% possession, the Canaries fed him regularly. Two offside calls did not blunt his movement or threat.
The Canaries host West Bromwich Albion in the FA Cup next. Oxford United face Sunderland in the FA Cup.
