He met Luke Ayling's cross with a firm header, guiding it into the centre of the goal after drifting across the near post (61.).

He almost nicked it in the second minute of second half stoppage time, driving over from distance after Jeremy Sarmiento's pass.

Lankshear finished with three attempts, two on target, and four touches in the box, plus 13 of 14 passes completed, which underlined his work as Boro's focal point. He is now on six league goals, second in the Championship scoring chart.
