Simon Adingra settled the game in the 62nd minute with a low strike from outside the box, as Monaco beat Angers 2-0. The substitute tilted the game after the break.
Introduced at half-time, Adingra drifted infield and drove into the bottom right from range (62.), finishing a move sparked by Aleksandr Golovin's pass.
From there he kept Angers pinned back with direct carries and two crosses, repeatedly receiving between the lines for Les Rouge et Blanc. His pressing high up the pitch also forced hurried clearances.
He ended with one goal from his only attempt, nine successful final third passes and five recoveries in 45 minutes, a burst of control that swung territory Monaco's way.
Monaco's shape gave him space to attack the inside channel after the restart, and his movement disrupted Angers' back five and ensured the hosts controlled the key phases.
Les Rouge et Blanc rise from eighth to seventh and visit Paris Saint‑Germain next. Angers go to Nantes next.
