Liverpool have been busy in the transfer market and they have managed to sign right-back Jeremie Frimpong and goalkeeper Armin Pecsi in the ongoing window.

The Merseyside outfit are also widely claimed to have agreed a deal for Florian Wirtz with Bayer Leverkusen to be their third signing of the summer and they are showing no signs of stopping there.

Liverpool have a left-back on their mind and Bournemouth star Kerkez caught the attention of Arne Slot with his performances in the Premier League last season.

Bournemouth have received an approach for Kerkez from Liverpool and it has been suggested that the Reds might have to pay a fee in the region of £45m to secure his signature.

Kerkez’s team-mate Kluivert stated that the Hungary international will probably go to Liverpool and hopes that he joins the Anfield outfit to advance his career.

The Bournemouth star also revealed that Kerkez has not said farewell to his team-mates yet and added that he hopes that the left-back will be able to live up to his potential when he joins Liverpool.

“Probably he will go there”, Kluivert said in the mixed zone.

“I hope so for him.

“He hasn’t really said goodbye yet, but I hope he will live up to it there.”

Kerkez last season started all 38 league games for Andoni Iraola’s side and registered eight goal contributions in the process.

Bournemouth signed him from Dutch side AZ Alkmaar in the summer of 2023 and he has featured 74 times in all competitions for the Cherries.

Last summer, Liverpool barely invested in the squad despite the arrival of Slot, but in the ongoing window the Dutchman is determined to leave his stamp on the team by bringing in new faces who suit his style of play.
