Robert Lewandowski seems to have a special connection with the city of Seville, a place where his goals never stop flowing.
Apart from the home venue, there’s no other stadium in Spain where the Polish striker feels more comfortable or confident in front of goal.
To put things in perspective, since joining Barcelona, he has played at the Sanchez Pizjuan stadium three times, scoring in every single visit.
Each of those games ended in victory for the Blaugrana, and in two of them, Lewandowski opened the scoring, setting the tone for Barcelona’s dominance.
In the third, he scored the second goal that helped secure the win. His sharpness and instinct in Seville have turned the city into one of his favourite hunting grounds.
Interestingly, Lewandowski’s success there does not stop with Sevilla FC.
He has also found the net when facing Real Betis, proving that Seville as a whole brings out his best form.

Across the three matches he’s played against Betis since arriving in Spain, he scored in two of them.
Even on the day he failed to score, Barcelona cruised to an easy 4-0 win, showing that his influence often extends beyond just finding the net.
As the 2025/26 season unfolds, it remains to be seen whether Lewandowski will continue his strong record against Seville.
For the first time since joining Barcelona, his place as the starting striker isn’t guaranteed.
Ferran Torres has been in outstanding form, scoring regularly and working tirelessly in attack. He has started seven matches this season, while Lewandowski has started only three.
Injuries have certainly played a role in limiting the Pole’s minutes, but his efficiency in front of goal is still impressive.
Overall, he has scored eight goals in 11 appearances against Sevilla across all competitions – six in La Liga, one in the UEFA Champions League, and one in the UEFA Super Cup.
