Relegation is likely to prompt a fire sale at Spurs this summer
Tottenham are facing the very real prospect of being relegated to the Championship after their 3-1 defeat at home to Crystal Palace.
Spurs have now lost their last five league games in a row, and are just one point above the relegation zone.
Pressure is intensifying on Igor Tudor to turn things around, but after a winless start to his interim spell in charge, his job is coming under scrutiny just three weeks after taking the reins from Thomas Frank.
Relegation to the Championship would be unprecedented for Spurs in the modern era, and for a squad with one of the highest wage bills in the Premier League, there would be considerable upheaval in the summer.

As will be the case for many players within Spurs’ squad, they will bank on their reputation to get them out of the club should the worst-case scenario take place.
Vicario has long been linked with a move away from the club, though his performances have been underwhelming for some time, and is unlikely to stick around if Spurs are relegated.
LEAVE
Relegation could actually provide an opportunity for Kinsky, who has struggled for minutes since arriving from Slavia Prague last January.
With plenty to prove and no discernible interest from elsewhere, he could make the No1 spot his own.
STAY
Another player who would probably survive the fallout of Spurs’ relegation.
A drop down to the Championship could be what he needs to spark his career into life.
STAY
With one foot already out the door, and Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid rumoured to be interested, there is no chance that Van de Ven remains at Spurs should they go down.
Even if Spurs do stay up, the Dutch defender is likely to leave.
LEAVE

Cristian Romero

Romero has never been afraid to entertain interest from elsewhere during his time in north London, and has reportedly already decided to leave despite being made captain last summer with a bumper new contract.
Relegation would eradicate any doubts and certainly bring to an end his four-year stay at the club.
LEAVE
One of the more fascinating case studies. Dragusin will surely feel he is above playing in the Championship, but has actually offered no evidence to suggest that he is better than second division football.
STAY (but would want to leave)
Danso’s situation is quite the opposite to Dragusin's, because here is a player who has proven he has what it takes to play in the Premier League, yet perhaps does not quite believe his own hype.
The Austrian centre-half was playing in the Bundesliga 2 with Dusseldorf just five years ago after a difficult spell with Southampton.
STAY
Out of contract in the summer and currently nursing his way back to fitness after ankle surgery, Davies may feel that the task of taking Spurs back up to the Premier League could cement his legacy at the club.
STAY
Despite his persistent injury issues, Udogie is a superb player on his day and will surely attract a lot of interest from clubs in the Premier League, and Europe should Spurs go down.
LEAVE

Djed Spence

Spence probably believes his level is in the Premier League, and he would be right, but how much interest there will be in a player who has only really enjoyed six months of good form during his time at Spurs is unclear.
The England international, whose World Cup hopes will be in significant doubt, has plenty of Championship experience, from his time at Middlesbrough and Nottingham Forest, so Spurs will be keen to keep him around.
STAY (but would want to leave)
Whether the young Brazilian will be particularly keen to test himself in the Championship remains to be seen, but he could really benefit from a drop down the divisions after a tough first top-flight start against Crystal Palace.
STAY
With Europe’s best credited with interest in Porro in the past, it is unlikely the Spaniard would stay at Spurs should they go down.
Porro has one of the best deliveries in the Premier League, and his level is far above the Championship.
LEAVE
Bentancur was handed a new contract just five months ago, but will likely be sold. Spurs will need to get their wage bill down, and the Uruguayan will likely be keen to test himself at a higher level.
He, like many Spurs players, has endured a difficult season but will likely fail upwards.
LEAVE
Palhinha has been one of Spurs’ better players, and it would be unfair to criticise his application.
However, he will not want his loan turned into a permanent move should the club be relegated.
LEAVE
With his contract up in the summer, Bissouma has been poised to leave Spurs for some time.
The Mali midfielder has had injury and disciplinary issues, and Spurs will be glad not to have to negotiate his exit from the club.
LEAVE

Archie Gray

Whatever may come of this season, Gray can hold his head up high.
He has never once complained or let his performances slip despite being shunted out of position, and he is someone Spurs should look to build around if they are relegated.
STAY
A talented young player who has put up a fight this season, there will be interest in the midfielder come the summer, regardless of whether Spurs go down.
Keeping Bergvall at the club would be an important part of Spurs’ preparations for the Championship, and he could stay on the promise that he would be allowed to leave if Spurs do not bounce straight back up.
STAY
Spurs should be keen to keep Gallagher around, but his wages, having been signed for big money, could prove an issue.
If the club has negotiated a relegation wage drop, which is not a guarantee given his January arrival, then they should do all they can to keep him. Whether he agrees, is another issue.
STAY
A talented player, but still with plenty to prove, he could make himself a mainstay in Spurs’ team should they drop to the Championship.
STAY
Given the clubs he has played for already in his career, the thought of playing Championship football is unlikely to appeal to Simons.
Spurs will be forced to take a loss on the Netherlands international’s sale, or sanction a loan exit to get his wage off the books.
LEAVE
Spurs will be trying to pull on the heartstrings to get Kulusevski to stay, but a player of his quality simply has to be playing at the highest level.
His long-term injury problems could play into Spurs’ hands, though, as the Sweden star could well not have played football for 15 months come the start of next season.

LEAVE
Maddison is one of the few players who seems to have built a real affinity with the club.
Having his quality, but also experience of the Championship, would be invaluable, and it seems like he would be up for the challenge after a long injury lay-off.
Would likely be first in line to be captain if he stays.
STAY
Odobert could really thrive in the Championship, and having arrived from perennial yo-yo club Burnley, he is not someone who you feel would be pushing to make a move.
STAY
A question of wages and appetite.
Kudus would surely want to leave, and Spurs may be resigned to letting him do so, but shifting the Ghanaian could be more difficult than they anticipate.
STAY (but would want to leave)

Dominic Solanke

Likely to stay and help Spurs achieve promotion straight back up to the Premier League.
Given his patchy injury record and age, there may not be tons of suitors for him come the summer.
STAY
Prevented from leaving the club in January, Spurs’ relegation would likely spell the end for Tel, who is keen on a move back to France.
Spurs can be prepared to take a loss on a player who cost around £40million including loan and transfer fees.
LEAVE
One of the few players with his heart in the right place, it is clear that the club’s predicament is weighing on his mind.
Would likely be one of the big-name players to stay behind and help Spurs in the Championship, unless a move back to Brazil is more appealing.
STAY
Would return to Paris Saint-Germain with his tail between his legs after a simply atrocious loan spell.
Lucky he has a get-out-of-jail-free card, or else he would probably be resigned to staying with Spurs in the Championship.
LEAVE
