According to BuLi News, Steffen Baumgart has agreed a new deal to remain 1. FC Union Berlin head coach, with the club confirming the extension on Wednesday while keeping its length undisclosed.

Heldt added that recent months indicate progress, unity is felt on and off the pitch, and the club remain convinced about continuing on this course together.

Baumgart, appointed in January 2025, said it was vital from the outset to work with trust and a clear football idea.

He highlighted Union’s cohesion and consistent on-field approach, noting they have built a stable foundation they want to develop in order to be successful.
